Don't Visit Religious Sites During Prayer Times: When visiting religious sites in Ahmedabad, avoid going during prayer times unless you intend to participate. Respect the sanctity of the place and the worshipers' devotion.

Don't Disrespect Religious Sites: When visiting temples, mosques, or other religious places, be respectful and follow the rules. Avoid touching idols or sacred objects without permission and refrain from taking photographs if it is considered disrespectful.

Don't Consume Tap Water: As in the rest of India, avoid drinking tap water in Ahmedabad. Stick to bottled water or use a water purifier to ensure safe consumption.

Don't Litter: Keep Ahmedabad clean and maintain its beauty by disposing of waste properly. Use designated bins or carry a small bag for your trash until you find an appropriate place to dispose of it.

Don't Haggle at Fixed Price Shops: While bargaining is common in local markets, some shops, particularly larger establishments or fixed price stores, have non-negotiable prices. Respect their pricing and avoid unnecessary haggling.

Weather in Ahmedabad

December marks the onset of winter in Ahmedabad. During this month, temperatures start to drop, and the weather becomes cooler. Daytime temperatures can range from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius (59 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit), while nights can be colder, with temperatures dipping to around 16 degrees Celsius (60 degrees Fahrenheit). It's advisable to carry some warm clothing, especially for the evenings and early mornings.
